BMW E30 M3 Group N - SOLD

Genuine factory built M3 Group N Spec Touring Car produced to race in the Belgium Championship (Alpine White 'non sun roof' BMW E30 M3 produced 05/12/1988 - Chassis plate still attached, never a road car) and still retains its period correct Matter roll cage, Leda adjustable coil over suspension, LSD and airjack mountings (although the jacks and pipework have been removed).

Matter roll cage to both front and rear suspension turrets and to the top of the diff carrier. Standard M3 brakes with Alcon front discs and Pagid Blue pads. Powerflex rear suspension bushings. GRP bonnet, boot lid and front/rear bumpers (rest of body in steel with glass windows). The car's exterior is painted in metallic purple to a very high standard for a race car. 

The motor was built by Arrow Racing and 'refreshed' by JMC Motorsport in 2012 and only completed  6hrs since.  Re-fresh included:

- New ARP big end bolts.

- Chain kit and tensioners.

- New solid lifters.

- Lightweight flywheel and paddle clutch.

Dyno'd at Chip Wizards in 2011, with carbon induction system, at 270 Bhp and at Graves Motorsport in May 2019 at 250Bhp with standard M3 induction system. Car weighs 1080kgs (zero fuel).

The car was purchased from JMC Motorsport in Dec 2018 to compete in the CSCC Future Classics (FC80 Class).  Since purchased the M3 has undergone a thorough renovation costing approximately 10k pounds and countless man hours.

The work has been primarily carried out by Matt Roach Racing and Graves Motorsport, prior to the 2019 season start, and includes the following:

- New New Ralloy 52ltr foam filled fuel tank (FIA Approved) with new piping, swirl pot and pumps. 

- New front wheel bearings.

- Re-mounting of rear differential.

- Re-packing and re-mounting of stainless steel exhaust.

- Instalation of new Ricky Evans heated front windscreen.

- Removal of all redundant electrical wiring (std loom required in Gp N)

- Re-location (from boot to passenger footwell) of new Powerlite high output racing battery with associated new wiring.

- Check of motor health/compressions (very good)/Dyno testing. 

- Suspension and steering geometry setup.

- Solid mounting bushes fitted to the alternator (known S14 weak spot).

- General health check of all systems.

Other NEW equipment fitted prior to the season are as follows:

- 2019 OMP HTE-R seat.

- 2019 OMP Endurance Saloon 6pt Harness.

- 2019 Lifeline Firemarhsall 4.0ltr plumbed in fire extinguisher.

- Momo Model 78 suede steering wheel (330mm).

- Refurbished genuine BBS 17" type 42 alloy wheels fitted with Yokohama AO52R 215/45R17 (used for 2 x 40 min races).

- Racelogic VBOX billet aluminium predictive lap timer (740 pounds).  

- HRD billet alluminimum 'DTM style' gear selector. 

- Carbon interior door cards.

- Formula Power 10mm HT leads and Bosch racing plugs.

- Bosch distributor cap.

- All fluids replaced with Millers Racing products.

Spare set of 15" Compomotive alloys with nearly new Yokohama AO52R's.

The M3 has competed in 3 rounds of the 2019 CSCC Future Classics (Snetterton/Silverstone/Spa Summer Classic) where it has finished well in all races, 1st in class in both rounds at the Spa Summer Classic!  The car has performs exceptionally well, is a joy to drive and is only for sale due to changes personal in circumstances.
