History & Development:
Originally built around 2002, this car actually won the RGB Championship Class A in the hands of its kit-car designer and builder Tim Pell (Pell Autos, Bradford). It was successfully raced around the English circuits by two other owners until 2015. This model follows the design and build of Tim’s road-going kit cars as featured at the time in various publications and on Men&Motors TV programme (see YouTube).

My son and I obtained the car in late 2016 and fully refurbished the car to its present condition and specification, incorporating many new or professionally refurbished parts or composite materials (please see the following spec. listing for full details) and finding means to shed a little more weight of what was already a lightweight racecar. Weight now around 450kg (without driver).

Car is of lightweight tubular spaceframe construction with integral full protective cage, with aluminium or Dibond inner panels, one-piece floor and bulkheads. The four-piece clip-on / clip-off bodywork is of fibreglass construction. Double adjustable Protech suspension, Wilwood alloy brake calipers and black Team Dynamics ProRace 1.2 13” wheels with Yokohama A048 tyres sit on each corner. Mid-mounted is a Honda 'Fireblade' CBR ’07 998cc engine & gearbox, just freshly refurbished and dyno-run by DayTuner, Harrogate – with new gearbox parts fitted as required and Damian’s genius set up finding us some more horse-power (Dyno sheets available quoting 163bhp ATW, estimated 173 bhp ATC).

We have successfully raced the car in the very well organised and large grid multi-marque / multi-class Northern Sports & Saloon Car Championship rounds. Although splitting the rounds between us both and with ‘life’ demands meaning we couldn’t visit every round, the car has successfully scored many Class pole positions, Class wins and / or Class fastest lap at a variety of race circuits, including several Top 6 overall positions, plus some additional sprint events in Scotland.

Car would also be eligible in various race series including Northern Sports & Saloons, Scottish Sports & Saloons, CNC Heads Sports & Saloons and Welsh Sports & Saloons respective championships plus various option fpr UK wide sprints and hillclimbs. Would make a truely awesome trackday car.

A combination of new house, home renovations, grandchildren and an imminent wedding means it’s time for us both to take a sabbatical, and so probably best to let someone else enjoy this fabulously quick and well handling car that we have spent many, many hours preparing and enjoying.
