This is a GOLDEN opportunity if you seriously want to race. Sadly, because of injury, I cannot qualify to renew my competition licence and I must  therefore cancel all my racing plans.

I am offering a Shrike P15 Sports 2000 racing car, which usually change hands for between £18,and £20,000, but I want to give someone the opportunity to acquire the car at a much lower figure.

I will accept the first offer in excess of £10,000 but I will also consider a realistically valued part exchange with a cash adjustment in either direction. This offer represents less than 50% of the car’s true value.

There doesn’t seem to be any major problems with the car but you will need the ability to thoroughly race prepare it. The car is not yet set up, and you will also need to ensure that you are able to undertake this kind of work properly. However advice is available from the car’s designer/manufacturer if you need it.

During its last racing season, it had a small, off, but the damage was limited to the fibreglass bodywork, which has been patched up and in fact it was raced again in that condition. It now needs to be properly finished, but it is all together, and only requires fibreglass work, not composites or anything that requires costly expertise, and is more of a DIY job for which materials come with the car.

Where the car suffered superficial damage to some sub-frames, theses have all been replaced with new parts from Shrike. It also has a set of mounted wets, spare wheel and slicks and a spare nose. I believe that I have bought most of what is needed to finish the car, and there are severable boxes of other spares.

As previously mentioned, I will put you in touch with the people who originally designed and built the car, who can supply any back-up, advice or parts you may need in the future. They could not be more helpful and have all the jigs and drawings for the car. You would also do well to speak to the very friendly people who run the Sports 2000 races, and again I can provide their details.
