Description:
The Mini 1275 GT introduced in 1969 was the spiritual successor to early Cooper performance Mini’s, and while they were built alongside each other for 3 years, in 1971 the torch was passed to the 1275GT as the only performance model in the Mini range. The ‘Clubman’ front fascia design was penned by Roy Haynes and gave the 1275 an up to date look for the late 70s and early 80s. Through the introduction of the 1275GT, rally and racing Mini’s continued to thrive and be competitive well into the 1980’s.
This 1275 GT has an extensive Dutch rally history, competing in the famous Tulip rally in period with Go Wammes and other famous Dutch rallies such as the ELE rally, Limburgia Rally, Hellendoorn Rally, Adam BP rally and SLS rally among various others. Many pictures of the car in competition exist.
Fitted with a rebuilt and sparsely run 1275cc rally spec engine producing approximately 100hp and full rally suspension to back it up, this mini is ready to go another round in whatever rally you wish to compete in.
