'89 Chassis but the build was not finished until 2001 when it was registered with the DVLA

The engine is an 1800 cc Ford Zetec dyno tested at 171 bhp. It has an Alpha ignition system and is very tractable, rapid, reliable and easy to drive.

It has a Quaife straight cut 5 speed gearbox and independent rear suspension, a 4.44 diff. and limited slip 

The homologated rollover protection was supplied and fitted by Caged Laser Engineering, so meets Motorsport UK requirements.

The car is currently stripped of road going equipment for lightness and it is registered as SORN. The roadgoing equipment can be refitted in less than a couple of hours.

Car has been double driven by us in the SW for the last few years, initially in roadgoing but for the last 2-3 seasons in Mod Prod to move away from requirement to tax & MOT each season despite never using it on the road.

The reason for sale is that we fancied a change and are taking a different direction this year.

It is currently sat on 7 inch and 8 inch Avon slick tyres fitted to Minilight wheels. Also included are a set of 6 inch and 7 inch Toyo R888R's which we've used at wet events or particularly abrasive tracks (airfield stuff). These are road legal with lots of tread as were new for last season. Finally, there are a set of part worn 'black and round' tyres on RS rims that we fitted to enter autosolos.

Delivery possibly can be arranged at cost. (the trailer shown in the photos is not included in the sale)

I will be honest and say that this is a competition car that could be used on the road (once things fitted back and MOT passed) but it is not a car for taking your mum to the coast as it is uncomfortable, has a very tatty passenger seat, drafty and is not weathertight. (It has windscreen but this would need altering as the wing mirrors foul the roll cage.)

If required I would be prepared to negotiate a lower price if the slicks were not required. Please note that although I am open to reasonable offers please do not bother to make any that are not  close to the asking price as you will be wasting your and my time.
