Plymouth Hemicuda - FIA Gr2 competition touring car
Original 4-speed big block early production 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. Original factory build sheet available. Built to Period H Hemicuda Group 2 competition touring car specifications, as raced in Le Mans in 1975. Solid track record since 2011, with numerous class wins, podiums and top 10 overall finishes. Raced at Tour Auto, Classic Endurance Racing, Heritage Touring Cup, Masters 70s celebration, Oldtimer Grand Prix and Nordschleife Endurance.
Period correct 1969 HEMI 426 CI (6896 ccm) dry sump V8 built by Ray Nichels. 510 HP at 6,550 rpm. Redline 7,000 rpm. Tex T101A 4 speed dogring racing transmission. McLeod dual disc 8" sintered iron clutch. Petty Enterprise front spindles with NASCAR hubs. Rear axle from Speedway Engineering 9" rear end with NASCAR hubs. Vented disc brakes front and rear. 10x15 inch steel wheels with either AVON CR6ZZ or MICHELIN NASCAR slicks. Vmax = 258 km/h.
Engine has 6 hours of track time since rebuild. Clutch is new. Gearbox has 40 hours since last overhaul.
FIA 26 page international HTP renewed in 2017, as Group 2 Competition Touring Car. Valid French road registration.
