BMW 2002 Grp 2, FIA Historic Period G2
I am selling my BMW 2002 historic Grp 2 race car with which we have competed in selected races in the German FHR 3 hour cup.
The car has a valid FIA HTP for Class CT 19 in period G2 - 1970-1971.
It has been built with all the right parts and is competitive in its class.
The body is a rust free Bmw 2002 bodyshell with rear wheelarches and front wings from Singer Carbontechnik, it also has fibreglass bootlid and bonnet and homologated fibreglass doors with perspex side windows. Inside is a Wiechers chrome-moly rollcage.
Engine is a full race 2 liter M10 with high compression pistons, knife-edged crank, H-profile rods, Stainless REC valves, Catcams camshaft, LH Owen steel rockers, real Italian Weber 48 DCOE carbs producing over 210 hp.
Gearbox is a Getrag 235 with 2.3:1 first gear and 1:1 fifth gear, with all new gears from GMT-Bauer only run a few hours from new.
Rear axle is a 3,64:1 with a fresh 75% limited slip differential.
Shockabsorbers are Bilstein racing shocks built specially for the car and only run 2 races. Rear suspension are fully boxed trailing arms with poly bushes and front suspension are Alpina negative camber upside-down struts with adjustable spring conversion from Engels Rennsport, solid aluminium top mounts and poly bushed A-arms. Steering is an Alpina quick steering box.
Fuelsystem is an 80 liter ATL fuel cell with refueling through the bootlid, twin bluetop pumps and a Malpassi fuelpressure regulator with filter. All hoses are Goodridge black hoses with black AN fittings.
Instrumentation is standard BMW with a 220 kph speedo and a Stack cronotronic revcounter.
The wiring loom is a bespoke loom for the car with all automatic fuses, front lights have plastic lenses from Engels Rennsport. Rear FIA foglight and fire extigusher from Lifeline.
The car is road registered in Sweden and fully road legal as it stands.
It comes with 10 off 9" x 13" Minilite wheels and 4 off 8 x 13" ATS wheels.
