Little-used 2007 C400 race car in very good condition.  2-litre 220bhp Cosworth-Ford Duratec engine.

Phenomenal performance as either a race car or a track-day car.  This C400 has only ever done 14 race meetings and 4 track days.  It would also be possible to convert the car for road use. 

This race-ready car is for sale because I now race a Caterham 420R.

The C400 was built new for me at the beginning of 2007 for the 2007 BRSCC Caterham Superlight Championship.  I only contested 4 rounds that year and have competed in only 10 race meetings since.

The car is eligible for various race series including Class F of the Classic Sports Car Club’s Magnificent 7s and the invitation class of MSVR’s Toyo Tires 7 Race Series.  I have competed in both.

Changes to original specification:
Original C400 oil radiator replaced by Caterham R420-style oil radiator.
Original C400 silencer replaced by Caterham C400 repackable silencer.

The engine has been rebuilt once by the official engine builder and is still sealed.

The original 6-speed H-pattern gearbox was refurbished by McMillan Motorsport just before the car’s last race.

Front brake discs, wheel bearings and brake pads were replaced 2 race-meetings ago.

The car has a Momo QD steering wheel and a Stack Dash running V5 software, complete with download lead and trackside beacon.

2007: BRSCC Superlight Championship races at Donington, Silverstone, Rockingham and Brands Hatch Indy.

2008, 09, 10, 11, 12:  Not raced at all.

2013:  The Birkett Challenge (Silverstone GP circuit).

2014:  Silverstone National, The Spa Summer Classic and the Birkett Challenge.

2015:  Brands Hatch Indy, The Spa Summer Classic, Donington National and Estoril (Portugal).

2016:  The Birkett Challenge (Silverstone GP circuit).

2017:  Thruxton, The Spa Summer Classic and Brands Hatch Indy.

2018:  Not used.

And finally 4 track days with friends over the life of the car (Brands Hatch Indy (x1), Cadwell Park (x1) and Snetterton (x2)).

Spare tyres included: a set of part-worn Yokohama AO48s and a set of part-worn Avon CR500s.

The car can be delivered within a reasonable radius of Newbury, Berkshire.
