Original 1984 VOLVO 240 TURBO Group A Ex Hazelton
This famous VOLVO 240 T was originally a 242 GT, one of 4 cars prepared by Volvo Australia for the 1979 Repco Reliability Trial. Ross Dunkerton in a 244 came 4th, behind the three Marlboro HDT Toranas.
In 1984, Laurie Hazelton restored the VOLVO in 240 T Group A specifications. He entered the VOLVO is several races: 1986 AGP and Oran Park in february 1987. In 2004, Laurie Hazelton sold it to Richard Prince who restored extensively this historic VOLVO. During Richard Price ownership, our VOLVO has been very active in Australian historic competitions. In october 2015, Craig Neilson bought this famous VOLVO from Richard Prince. In october 2016, the engine has been entirely rebuilt. It has only 3 hours and delivers 348 hp @ 6.000 rpm. Just after this rebuilt, Ascott Collection bought the Ex Laurie Hazelton VOLVO in 2016. Since it arrived in France, our VOLVO has been serviced. It received a new clutch, a new fuel tank, the wiring has been upgraded, the body has been painted etc...(invoices are available).
