TVR Grantura Mk11a
First introduced in 1958 the TVR Grantura went through a series of developments before the last models rolled off the production line in 1967. Handbuilt in Blackpool using a spaceframe chassis and GRP body shell the cars shared components with Austin Healey, VW, Triumph and BMC. Using a variety of engines the cars performed well due to their superior power to weight ratio and quickly became a very desirable vehicle for enthusiastic drivers and club racers alike.
Offered for sale we have a rare and desirable left hand drive TVR Grantura Mk2a FIA race car. The car has seen little use in recent years since it was run at the 2013 Goodwood Revival in the Fordwater Trophy and is currently nearing the end of a mechanical refresh ready for the 2017 season. This vehicle not only offers the new owner a blue chip investment opportunity but also a fun car that can be used on the road or will afford you eligibility to some of the world’s most prestigious events.
As you would expect with a vehicle of this vintage the car has been the subject of a documented part body/chassis restoration and as a result is in very good structural and visual condition. All previous work was photographed and has been completed to a high standard.
The recent work was primarily to rebuild the engine and run through the car mechanically to ensure it is once again ready to be used and enjoyed as intended. A full specification is available to interested parties with more detailed images also ready to be emailed if required.
