2017 BRSCC Alfa Romeo Championship
The BRSCC Alfa Romeo Championship has been running since the early 80s and still remains one of the best-supported club racing series in the UK.
One of the Alfa Championship's major strengths has always been that it can offer the opportunity to race in a highly competitive environment that suits all levels of ability and budget. Newcomers to racing are warmly encouraged but there are also many long-term competitors who have never felt the need to look for a challenge elsewhere. On the other hand, if you are looking for a stepping-stone to greater things, what better way to start! The Championship has welcomed many female drivers over the years and in 2010 and 2011 produced two different female champions.
Unlike most one-make championships, the Alfa Romeo Series is not confined to a single model and this is one of its appeals to both competitor and spectator. However, in 2015 we made the first major change to the long established class structure when the previous six classes gave way to a more manageable three.
Unlimited capacity production based Alfa Romeos (including all turbocharged and supercharged cars and those with sequential gearboxes) racing on slick tyres.
Runs to a power to weight formula (195bhp at the wheels per 1000kg). The class races on slick tyres.
TWIN SPARK CUP
Standard production using 4 cyl 16v transverse engine up to 2000cc. Cars will race on a Yokahama AO48 control tyre in 2017.
