Honda VTEC Challenge
The Honda VTEC Challenge was launched 2011 to provide a fun, safe and friendly race series for those with performance Honda cars wishing to take their first step into racing and also to those existing Honda racers looking to race in a unified field. All Hondas are welcome including Civics, Integras, Accords, Preludes and S2000s.
2016 sees the series continue with events at the UK's premier race circuits the Honda VTEC Challenge aims to be THE race series for all Honda cars.
With support from Toyo Tyres and a number of Honda Tuning Companies, the series can offer cost effective racing with competitive tyre pricing.
A simple range of classes allow for ANY combination of engine and chassis and easy regulation of the classes whilst ensuring close racing between all classes.
What is the Honda VTEC Challenge?
The VTEC Challenge is an exciting race series which is run in conjunction with the BRSCC and with support from Toyo Tyres. The series aims to provide an ideal setting for the newcomer to racing to feel welcome, safe and to quickly learn the ropes and come up to speed alongside a mixture of novices and more experienced drivers. With full tyre sponsorship and with a race car available from as little as £5000, the series aims to be a very financially viable series that caters for all Honda enthusiasts.
What are the projected costs?
Apart from the obvious costs such as your race car, tyres, fuel, "National B" race licence and safety gear, we expect the costs to be £330 for each race meeting (qualifying and 2 races) depending on the circuit.
There is an additional, non-refundable, administration fee to the "VTEC Racing Club" of £75 and BRSCC membership fee of £135 at the beginning of the year which entitles you to enter to the series and additional benefits.
It is possible to become a member of the "VTEC Racing Club" and the BRSCC for a race weekend to enjoy a "taster" race meeting with the series.
Weekend membership with the VTEC Racing Club is available for £25 which may be repeated up to a maximum of 3 weekends. A temporary membership can’t guarantee your race number, as this is reserved for full members.
Weekend membership of the BRSCC is available for £50 which may be repeated up to a maximum of 2 weekends.
