Due to change in future plans, up for sale is our drift rx8 with 20b 3-rotor engine swap.
The car is complete and has running engine but needs a dyno tune. Never been used in competition yet.
The car still has some rough edges but functionally and aesthetically ready.
The build turned out to be an engineering excercise but we never had the chance to enjoy our hard work, due to covid.
The car is in private hands now, Modception Ltd gives assistance to the sale and further technical help including this cars specific engineering sources if needed.
engine: mazda cosmo 20b engine, rebuilt and modified by R.E.C. (rotary engine . com, Calgary). fully studded and doweled, large streetport (not bridgeport), custom port matched exhaust port inserts, rotors fully re-worked (side, corner, face clearenced, lightened, 3mm apex seals) external oil feeds to bearings, remote oil filter, engine is fully balanced. Alternator relocated to the side.
custom 60mm diameter turbo manifold, KR custom turbo, TIAL v60 wastegate, AEM solenoid controlled. TIAL BOV, turboworks intercooler with the shortest tubing possible for 20b.
Stock OEM RX8 dual oil coolers with custom AN tubing for the 20b.
fuel system: 1600cc injectors, Rotary-Works rails, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, ATL fuel cell, with an AEM pump to feed a swirlpot reservoir and then dual AEM pumps with dual supply line to the engine and one return line. Two stage fuel filtration using aeromotive inline filters. Fuel is cooled by an inline radiator with 2 fans.
Engine management: haltech elite 2500 with custom LCD instrument cluster
Ignition: AEM smart coils
engine cooling: rear mounted large, boxed radiator with 3 fans, controlled by ecu, coolant circulated by Meziere WP336S billet inline pump mounted to the underside of the car. coolant lines are 20-AN size with adapter to the engine front plate.
Exhaust: custom stainless steel system with one muffler located near the center of the car, exit through the rear bumper at stock location
Body: RX8 LHD layout with FIA rollcage, fiberglass doors (all 4 of them) fiberglass bonnet, fenders (rears also), bootlid, tailgate panel. Modception complete bodykit. Bumpers, sideskirts and bonnet are mounted by quiklatch. Bootlid opens on stock hinges and locked by overcenter latches.

Drivetrain: Custom chromoly flywheel to mate with 20b, rx8 starter and rx8 bellhousing. Tilton 3 plate clutch with tilton hydraulic release bearing, GForce GF5R gearbox with custom RX8 Bellhousing adapter plate. Custom gear linkage, custom steel propellershaft. Diff: Ford explorer differential carrier casing with EATON posi clutch plate LSD, custom, solid driveshafts to mate the explorer inner CVs with rx8 outer CV joints.
Brakes: Wilwood 6-pot front 4-pot rear calipers with billet center wilwood disks all around. OBP pedalbox with wilwood master cylinders, wilwood hydro e-brake. + electronic on-demand rear line cutoff. Brake balance adjustable via knob.
Suspension: Modified Tein monosport coilovers
Modception fully adjustable angle kit (prototype billet version, 67° maximum angle). Rear arms: Modception billet arms with chromoly rodends and pins. rear crossmember is mounted by POM bushings to the body.
Sterring: RAV4 mechanical steering rack with Megane electric steering column
Safety: rear aluminum firewall, FIA fire suppression system, sparco harnesses and seats.
The car comes with spare wheels and loads of brand new tires to burn.
