Ferrari 250 GT V12 Engine
This is an original 1961 Ferrari 250 GTE Series 1 V12 Engine block with liners and main bearing caps. Number 3069
3069 was originally fitted at the Ferrari factory to a 250 GTE Series 1 LHD in 1961, the Engine was then removed in 1973 to make way for a competition engine and the car being transformed into a 250 GT SWB Competizione.
3069 was then fitted to a 250 GT Lusso chassis number #5685 due to an engine failure.
Engine 3069 was removed from the Lusso and set aside ready to be used for another project in the future.
We have this very rare piece of Ferrari manufacturing history for sale and is still in good condition, with the piston liners and block itself not having any major deterioration. A few minor marks as expected with the age and history of this block.
A great opportunity to acquire a piece of Ferrari history.
