Description:
1975 Interscope Lola T332 F5000 .'The Danny Ongais Car'
Referred to in the literature at the time as the ex BJ Swanson, Bob Bay Lola, this is the car that was rebuilt following its accident at Mid Ohio for Danny Ongais to drive as a replacement for his T400. According to crew chief Carrol Smith (Tune to Win etc) at the time "we did everything we could to turn [the 400] back into a 332 and there seemed no reason why it should not be a good race car-but it wasn't".
A new tub and some other new parts were purchased from Carl Haas and from then on the car ran under the Interscope/Bell Electric Racing banner alongside the Jon Woodner, Interscope, Talon.
The Log Book records the car as the HU42/2
RECENT HISTORY:
