1960 NOTA Formula Junior
This is the second of the two Nota Formula Junior cars built in 1960 for the emerging Formula Junior catergory in Australia.
Designed by Guy Buckingham and Micheal Martin, they were the first f/j cars to be built and raced in Australia.
Joe Boswell was responsible for the assembly of this the '90' car, chassis 27, a stablemate to the original chassis 22 (89) car.
Both cars were raced consistantly by Nota Engineering, Howard brothers and Joe Boswell at Warwick Farm, Oran Park, Bathhurst and Katoombe until 14th October 1962.
A continuous history of ownership is recorded with letters and photographs. Both cars have survived and are still racing. The 89 car in Australia with John Medley and the 90 car in Europe and UK with Mark Haynes.
The car is fitted with a 1100cc Swiftune BMC engine and runs in F/J class B2 but could run in B1 with a 1000cc engine.
The Nota ran at Goodwood in 2016.
The HTP papers are valid to 31/12/2026.
