TVR Grantura MK2 FIA Racecar
Genuine and very periodic 1961 TVR Grantura MK2.
The car started it’s life as a road car but where shortly after it’s birth converted to race specifications.
It was racing several race meetings in UK before it was sold to Italy in the late 90s.
It raced the historic series in Italy and did got to both Imola and Monza before it was stored away in a dry garage for nearly 20 years !
I have started the car up, cleaned the Weber’s and changed all fluids together with a new battery.
A road test proved the car to be very quick and for sure a Period E front runner car.
It has the correct HRG alloy crossflow cylinder head on a all balanced full race MGA engine.
Gearbox is working very smoothly and there is no strange sounds coming from this historical gem.
All safety equipment is of course out of date but it features a correct FIA full roll cage.
The car sits on Knock On Minilite wheel with Dunlop racing tyres, suspension and brakes according to FIA homologation form nr.32
UK V5 “copy”, out of date FIA papers and some invoices comes with the car.
Hard to find historic cars with the right Patina, but this ones has it !
Would fit into various of historic race series such as Sixtyfivers, Equipe GTS, Masters Historic Racing and many other events such as Spa Six Hours, Silverstone Classic and why not Goodwood Revival ?
