1962 FIA Jaguar E-type coupe

Chassis 885945 - UK registered 1302WK with V5C, new HTP valid to 2030 and low engine hours

Originally registered to Jaguar Cars in 1962, the car carries its original Coventry registration having been exported to the USA, repatriated and rebuilt in 2005/6 by Paul Castaldini at Classic Car Racing with bodywork by Rod Jay at Racing Jaguar Panels.

The car has benefited from continuous care and development by Iain Rowley at Delta Motorsport during the current 10-year ownership and is now for sale due to the owner’s retirement from racing.

Raced predominantly in HSCC Guards Trophy winning both the Peter Skidmore Trophy and Guards class championship twice each, and in Jaguar’s E-type Challenge and subsequent Classic Challenge winning the Jaguar Trophy. The car was last raced at Classic Le Mans in 2016 with a fresh Brian Stevens (XK Motorsport) engine which has now done less than 4 hours in total. Gearbox trouble compromised the result at Le Mans and the car subsequently had a new clutch and flywheel fitted. Unused since then, the car was re-prepped and tested in July 2020 to ensure everything works just as it should. A new FIA HTP for group GTS12 period F has been issued, valid until end 2030. A well-known car with lots of potential.
