1954 'Swallow' DORETTI Barchetta (Mille Miglia)
Our 1954 'Swallow' Doretti has been built to a very high standard to perform in events like the Mille Miglia and European Peter-Auto type race-rally events.
It has a very high tuned TR2/3 competition enigne with high-port head. The gearbox is close ratio with Overdrive on 2nd / 3rd & 4th gears... perfect for the twisty roads of Itay,
Limited Slip rear axle, and all alloy drum 'Alfin' competition brakes legal with the FIVA. It comes with the FIVA documents.
Since the 1000 Mille event we had a professional full 2-tone 'Connolly' leather interior installed, with matching Wilton carpets, and cloth 'statfast' tonneau cover. It also has the fatory hood and original side curtains.
The wires are very rare & expensive Borrani with date stamped for the period. Tuned with solid lead wire (the correct way) Rubber is by DUNLOP CR road race.
This car draws a lot of attention at these events and with superior performance on the 1000 Miglia, it can keep up with the best out there.
This is a alloy body tube chassis car. Very light, Only built in one year. Read the story below.
Its registered with the Doretti Owners Club. I also own the 'Doretti' trade mark logo and might sell it as a seperate purchase.
