Kudzu DG-1 / 2 Camel Lights GTP Car

Description:
The Kudzu line of endurance racing cars were designed and built by Jim Downing, the same man that created along with Dr Hubbard, the HANS device.
Downing is also known for his lifetime commitment to Mazda rotary engines, but he didn’t shy away from customer cars.
These two are some of the earliest examples of that work.
Both these cars Kudzus are DG-1 (Jim Downing/Sam Garrett) which started out life with 7/8 scale Argo body work. Eventually, Jim wanted to create bodywork that would give Kudzu its own identity. Later, that rebranded the chassis DG-2, although the DG-1 stamp remains.
Both cars are the 2nd and 3rd cars built in this line.
The white car #45 saw the transition from GTP to WSC and back to GTP again.
Both cars were owned and raced by Mike Gue before selling to Andy Evans and Team Scandia.
