1961 Mk2 Lynx Formula Junior Chassis 105
Chassis 105 was built by Lynx engineering in Australia and campaigned ny Kevin Bartlett. The car comes with a very comprehensive history file compiled by Dennis Terrill and includes race results, period photographs and magazine articles as well as details, history and photographs of the Lynx engineering company.
Lynx produced Formula Junior cars with various engine and gearbox options including the Borgward engine. Chassis 105 has a BMC engine and Renault 316 gearbox, its original specification. Being manufactured in 1961 and having drum brakes it is classified as FIA class FJ/2D
The car is in very good condition with fresh BMC engine and will need light refreshing with new safety belts and extinguisher prior to racing. The car had new FIA papers back in Dec 2016 and these are valid thru to Dec 2026.
The rarity of this car along with its immpecable provenance make it an ideal proposition for entry into the prestige race meetings such as Monaco and Goodwood.
