Move over RUF CTR! Under 1100 kilos, and nearly 450BHP, with massive torque from the large single turbo, means only capable drivers and brave passengers need apply! There may be faster Porsche’s out there, but to date we have not been in one.
Whilst power delivery is remarkable, the new Sachs hybrid 996T clutch operates smoothly and the 993 LSA rear end ensures that handling is predictable, yet entertaining. Together with the Quaife quick steering rack, 993RS brake set up, short ratio 6 speed gearbox (with motorsport steel synchros), this 911 is capable of embarrassing many new supercars on track.
Bilstein coilover suspension, set up by JAZ keeps the car tied down. Providing the track is smooth and dry, the set up means you can make full use of the explosive power.
As way of background, the car started life as a factory supplied 930SE into South Africa. The car then went to Singapore, were the body and suspension development was undertaken by a long-time Porsche fanatic. The engine, gearbox and wheel development was carried out by an ex-Autofarm engineer.
During the due diligence by the present owner, he discovered that the engine had been installed in a 993 Cup Car in the Porsche Australian Open. Talking to the engine builder, it was a no expense spared build, described as a single turbo GT2 style motor. Today its running an unstressed 1bar of boost, producing around 450BHP.
The shell has recently been stripped, where only small amount of corrosion required cutting out. It is now completely rust free and has been nicely repainted using genuine 930 front steel wings.
The wheels are genuine BBS mag alloys, which we recommend are crack tested before being used.
We don’t think it’s possible to go faster for the money unless you are on a bike. This Porsche is terribly addictive!
This Porsche 911 comes with lots of notes detailing what the present owner has discovered about the car during his due diligence. Beside this, there is a folder of recent invoices from well-respected Porsche specialists, both for the body and mechanical work.
