Owner and builder was Historic Lotus Registrar for the Lotus 19 during the 12 year build. So attention to detail is guaranteed. A very reluctant sale due to health issues, shake down run at Curborough and only two UK hillclimbs since completion. The car runs and drives well, the total mileage is less than 40 miles !
Historic Technical Passport.
After consultation I understand the car as it stands will fail on application due to two issues.
The engine in Walt Hangsens Lotus 19 that contested the 1964 International Guards Trophy held at Brands, was fitted with a 4.2 litre Buick. Also that it was running with side draft quad DCOE Webers.
Both items can easily be corrected at reasonable cost should you wish to obtain a HTP.
The complete build with extensive photographic evidence available, this car was featured in my hardback book “Lotus 19 a History”, copies are still available.
Priced at £90000, including an almost new Brian James Race Shuttle trailer
