Driven by Sydney Allard and Jack Fairman in the 1952 Le Mans 24 hours running very competitively up to sixth place before it lost its engine in the 13 hour mark. Car number 4 for the Allard Works Team in 1952. This factory Le Mans Allard was able to achieve 153 mph on the Le Mans Mulsanne Straight and was amongst the most competitive Allards ever built for the work’s factory team. The J2X Le Mans was resold to Paul Pfohl of Western New York, in January 1953. The car won all four races that it was entered in by Pfohl, including the SCCA Holland Hill Climb in Western New York. Now sympathetically restored by Sam Thomas Racing and competed at Le Mans Classic 2014 & entered for Le Mans Legends 2015 & Silverstone Classic, eligible for all major historic races.
